If the Mind is Full of Kindness, it Can Eliminate All Sufferings.
As the saying goes, "Amitabha is in every family, and Guanyin is in every household." From this, we can derive the universality of the belief in Guanyin. Guanshiyin Bodhisattva is known for compassion, and bringing about joy and the kindness to relieve sufferings in the world. Nilakantha Dharani (Great Compassion Dharani) is Guanyin Bodhisattva's wish for a world free of suffering, and Dharma 達摩樂隊 has chosen it as our first music video. In addition to presenting the compassion and kindness of Guanyin Bodhisattva, we hope that people can learn from the Bodhisattva's spirit of helping others, in order to feel connection and receive blessings. Through this music video, more people would get to know more about the Great Compassion Mantra and Buddhist culture.
The MV was shot in flashback style, supplemented by the strong mantra, as reality and the illusion sit side by side. It is righteous to reform and repent in the wake of wicked deeds, but reincarnation will always follow. Though we may believe that everything is real, when the mind is enlightened, we may suddenly realize that everything is virtual.
Reality and falsehood, good and evil, delusion and enlightenment—all exist in our thoughts, whereas all actions are traced to the heart. Because of the endless nature of suffering, the scripture says, “If the lost stray onto a dangerous path, they will be led to the right exit, and never enter again once they are greeted with kindness.”
Guanshiyin Bodhisattva is the embodiment of kindness, and the Great Compassion Mantra is our "password" for summoning the power of the Bodhisattva. Reciting and the Great Compassion Mantra can keep away all fear and eliminate all negative karma, to fulfill all desires without falling into the three evil paths. It is a panacea when we are feeling lost and confused.
心念不空過，能滅諸有苦
俗話說：「家家彌陀佛，戶戶觀世音。」從字義中可知觀音信仰在民間的普遍性。觀世音菩薩素以慈悲濟世聞名，慈是拔苦，悲是與樂，大悲咒是觀世音菩薩的願力總持。達摩樂隊以大悲咒為首發MV ，除藉此彰顯觀音菩薩的慈悲恩德外，期以此曲此片接引觀者對大悲咒乃至於佛學文化有所認識。希冀大眾能學習菩薩助人的精神，進而感應道交，蒙獲福佑。
達摩樂隊發行的大悲咒MV ，以倒敘方式拍攝，輔以石破天驚的咒樂聲，在真實與虛妄間穿梭，做惡行徑，沁人心扉，詮釋輪迴，歷歷在目，就在心生感悟時，卻發現一切都是虛擬之境。
真實與虛妄，善與惡，迷與悟，都在我們的一念之間，心是一切行為的主導。眾生因「執迷不悟」，而不斷受輪迴之苦。經云：「如迷路人，誤入險道，遇善知識，引接令出，永不復入。」
觀世音菩薩就是我們的善知識，大悲咒是我們與菩薩相應的「通關密語」，誦持大悲咒能遠離一切怖畏、滅一切惡業重罪、滿一切所求、不墮三惡道，是我們在困惑不解時的靈丹妙藥。
